UMI Launches A 10-DAY USEEP Program in Western Uganda

WESTERN UGANDA
The Uganda Management Institute has embarked on a 10-day Uganda Secondary Education Enhancement Project (USEEP) in Western Uganda, targeting headteachers and deputy headteachers from both government and private secondary schools.
The primary objective of this intensive training program is to enhance the leadership and management skills of secondary school administrators, enabling them to effectively manage their institutions, improve educational outcomes, and promote a conducive learning environment.
The theme of the program, “Educational Leadership and Management for Secondary School Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers,” reflects UMl’s commitment to supporting the development of school leaders and improving the quality of secondary education in Uganda.
Program Highlights include:
- Interactive sessions on educational leadership, management, and governance.
- Best practices in school administration, finance, and human resource management.
- Strategies for improving educational outcomes, student discipline, and staff motivation;
- Networking opportunities with peers and experts in education management and
- Action planning and coaching to support implementation of learned skills.
The program will be hosted in various districts across Western Uganda, including:Isingiro, Ntungamo,Kamwenge, Kasese, Rukungiri, Kagadi, Kyenjojo, Sheema, Hoima City, Bushenyi, Ibanda and Masindi among others.
The program targets headteachers and deputy headteachers from governmentaided and private secondary schools in the host districts.
Further more, upon completion of the program, participants are expected to:
- Demonstrate improved leadership and management skills;
- Apply best practices in school administration and management;
- Develop effective strategies for improving educational outcomes;
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture; and
- Establish networks with peers and experts in education management.
