IRIC invited the Public to attend a PhD Viva Voce Defense

The Uganda Management Institute (UMI) Institute Research and Innovation Centre invited the public to attend a PhD viva voce defence for candidate Nansamba Hadijah. The defence was scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 11:00 am.

Research Topic

Nansamba Hadijah’s research focused on “Institutionalization of Informal Justice System and Mitigation of Gender-Based Violence in Selected Communities in Rwenzori Region in Western Uganda.” This study explores the potential of informal justice systems in addressing gender-based violence, a critical issue affecting many communities in Uganda.

Significance of the Research

The research aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on informal justice systems and their role in mitigating gender-based violence. The findings of this study are expected to inform policy and practice, ultimately leading to improved outcomes for communities in the Rwenzori region.

Public PhD Viva Voce Defence

The public PhD viva voce defence provides an opportunity for scholars, researchers, and the general public to engage with Nansamba Hadijah’s research and contribute to the academic discourse. The defence will be held at UMI on the specified date and time.
