Masters in Management Science

Introduction

The Masters in Management Science (MMS) at UMI builds on existing Postgraduate diplomas which form the taught component of the programme across the various management domains. The taught component of the postgraduate diplomas takes two semesters covering twelve modules with four basic modules that are mandatory for all UMI programmes and eight core modules. Participants are grounded in the theoretical and practical aspects of a specific field. The taught component offers both theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in the broad field of management while the research workshops serve to ground participants in critical thinking, practical research skills of designing and under-taking academic, policy and applied researches to address contemporary challenges in management. The research component constitutes the second part focuses only on research.
