Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy & International Relations Management - DDIRM

Introduction

This Programme is a one-year academic programme for full-time participants. However, for distance participants the programme covers two academic years. The programme comprises of 12 modules, which focus on issues and areas in diplomacy and international relations (IR). Out of these, 4 are basic modules while 8 are core modules. The programme offers both theoretical and practical aspects in the field of diplomacy and IR, which are delivered using various adult-oriented approaches to provide participants with required knowledge, skills and competences in diplomatic manoeuvres and effective management of IR. The programme has the potential to enhance participants’ chances of promotion at their current jobs and securing employment opportunities elsewhere.

Admissions Requirements

  1. A Good Degree from a Recognised University, OR a Recognised Relevant Professional Qualification and at least One years of working experience.
  2. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes and at least two principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education(UACE) obtained at the same sitting.
  3. If an applicant gained entrance to University through other means original documents to that effect should be presented.
    1. Mature Age Entry certificate, 25 years and above and accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
    2. Diploma Entry obtained at credit/distinction level from a recognised institution.
  4. The minimum duration for the Bachelor’s degree should be three years.
