UMI Research Projects

UMI undertakes applied collaborative research. This is often developmental research aimed at providing policy recommendations and solutions to existing developmental issues.  For instance, UMI in collaboration with the University of Botswana designed and implemented the project on the Millennium Development Goals Capacity Building for Higher Institutions of Learning.

The purpose of the project was to promote the pursuance of the MDGs among staff members of higher institutions of learning in Uganda and Botswana through capacity building and provide policy oriented research input into the development of sustainable agricultural policies and global partnerships strategies towards the realization of the MDGs.
