Desktop Publishing



This course is designed to teach participants how to design, build, edit and enhance publications like flyers,
advertisements, reports, brochures, labels, etc. Students will learn how to successfully combine text and graphics
to make desktop publications that look pleasing and are easy to read. Participants will also learn how to create
personalized business cards and stationery. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to use the
Page Maker application and adobe In Design to create publications for personal and business use.

Administrators, Secretaries, Journalists and individuals who prepare publications for print media and reports.
Applicants must have basic computer skills and knowledge of word-processing is an added advantage.


Upon completion of this course s participants are expected to:
Demonstrate advanced skills in creating and designing newsletters, brochures and quality publications
Exhibit expertise in type setting and editing
